EXCLUSIVE: Mo Abudu’s Huge Moment On Stage With President Macron

The President of France, Mr Emmanuel Macron, last night, visited Fela Anikulapo Kuti’s iconic Afrika Shrine in Ikeja Lagos, to inaugurate the African Cultural Season slated to hold in 2020.

The event was held to showcase and celebrate African culture and was hosted by Nigerian Artist and performer Banky W and Kenturah King.

One of the major highlights of the event was the interactive session between the French President and Mo Abudu, the African Queen of television and the CEO of EbonyLife TV.

During the session, Abudu pointed out to Macron that it would be great to see a Nollywood film win Palme d’or, the highest award given at the Cannes Film Festival. She then asked how the French President could help in making that request come into fruition. Macron responded by asking one of his aides to answer the question. Together, the French President and his aide affirmed that, with hard work and patience, a Nollywood movie could have the chance of  clinching the award.
