About 31 aspirants have shown interest in replacing the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) current executive led by Augustine Alegeh.

They include Joe Gazama, SAN and Abubakar Mahmoud, SAN.

The chairman of the NBA electoral committee, Saturday assured the aspirants and members of the NBA that his committee would do its best in conducting a free, fair and credible election that would serve as a model for future elections in the country and beyond.

He said the committee planned to experiment with the electronic voting at its National Executive Council’s (NEC) meeting in Benin, before the main election, adding that a stakeholders meeting would later be held where members could bring in their information technology specialists to give addition advice on the e-voting.
