…Chases all PDP supporters out of his house
Former Borno State Governor and factional leader of the PDP in Borno State, Alhaji Ali Modu Sheriff who, allegedly, collected billions of naira and bragged before President Goodluck Jonathan that he would deliver Borno State to him in the Presidential election, has only managed to secure 241 votes for the President in his Ngala Local Government polling unit at the IDP camp. Buhari won all the 15 local government areas by INEC in Maiduguri.
An insider source who is close to the ex-governor disclosed that Sheriff, who was visibly angry by the result had chased all supporters out of his house.
Sheriff, according to our source, had confided in a friend that at the moment he didn’t know how to look at President Jonathan in the face after promising the President 70 percent of Borno’s vote when Jonathan visited Maiduguri on January 24 for the PDP presidential Campaign rally at the empty Ramat Square, venue of the rally.
Ali Modu Sheriff who had visibly gone silent in yesterday’s poll following his humiliation at a mosque a day before the election where he was booed by worshippers and called “unprintable” names, did all he could to rig the election yesterday, but did not succeed. His strongman Mohammed El-Yakub as reported by KSM News was arrested by the military for being in possession of fake ballot papers.
With the results that eventually came in from Borno State, it was clear that Ali Modu Sheriff failed to deliver even 7% votes for the PDP.
