Again, Fayose Set To Block Entry Points In Ekiti

imageAnytime from now, the embattled Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, will again block all entry and exit points to Ekiti State like he did few weeks ago.

Our usually reliable source in the Government House informed The Monitors that the luxury buses belonging to the Ekiti State Government have all been mobilised and fuelled by the drivers on the directive of the governor. The buses shall be driven to all entry and exit points of the state to block the roads.

The reason for this is to prevent the 19 APC lawmakers from entering Ekiti and sitting in the House of Assembly. The latest action by Gov. Fayose is as a result of the deadlocked meeting between him and the representatives of the 19 lawmakers in Akure where they rejected the governor’s offer of money in place of performing their duties as lawmakers.

The governor had wanted the lawmakers to accept the offer of payment of their salaries and other entitlements and forgo their remaining tenure of one week. But they reminded Fayose that he had already reduced their tenure by seven months that he had driven them away from the state without salary and there is no way they would accept money and forgo their legislative term and duties.

So if you wake up anytime from now and discover you cannot leave Ekiti or enter Ekiti, don’t be surprised, it is Mr. Fayose at work. He is also blocking the roads to prevent the celebration of the inauguration of President Muhammad Buhari by APC faithful, which comes up in less than 24 hours from now.
