… Expectations heighten as Floodgates of Heaven climaxes at Holy Ghost Congress

ALL roads lead to Redemption Camp today, climax of the Redeemed Christian Church of God yearly Holy Ghost Congress, which began on Monday with the theme: Floodgates of Heaven. Expectations of worshippers are also high to be spiritually attuned to their creator as the year winds down.
From Monday, there has been heightened eagerness of the worshippers to be at the Redemption Camp. The weather was clement and despite the harmattan haze, there was no inhibition on the ever-busy Lagos- Ibadan Expressway except for traffic gridlock that built up towards the evening near Berger.

Arrangement for movement of vehicles was perfected not to create any inconvenience for normal travellers at the approach of the venue: ‘Redemption Camp’. Traffic officers were on ground to direct vehicles coming for the congress to enter the camp without causing any obstruction on the road compared with what obtained in the past.

Adequate security was ensured both at the entrance and inside the camp. Police van was stationed at the entrance of the camp with police officers keeping vigilance.

Shuttle buses were in full operation to convey worshippers to the arena.
Centre of attractions dotted the camp with decorations that tell everyone that Christmas was in the air.

Electricity supply remained steady.

Traders took positions to display their ware: Books, food items, and stationeries among others.

One of the worshippers, Taiwo Michael, described the 2015 Holy Ghost Congress as unprecedented.

“The general atmosphere in the camp is inviting. As soon as I stepped in, I felt the hand of God and I knew that I would go back with loads of blessings.
“On ‘day one’, apart from heavenly-like music that ushered us into the Congress, Daddy GO told us we were blessed.

He spoke on the topic: “Flood of Love.” He said “love covers nakedness, neutralises death, gives the best, guarantees total victory and also chastises.”

On the second day, it was Flood of Healing with testimonies every where.
The third day was Flood of Power. He gave us the assurance that as long as we remained in the Lord, no negative power on earth or in heaven could harm us.

“My life will not remain the same,” he said.
