At Last, Interior Minister, Dambazau Resumed On Thursday Night

…Pledges zero tolerance for corruption, indolence, sectarianism, cronyism, and impunity.

imageThe newly appointed Minister of Interior, Abdulrahman Dambazau has finally resumed duty on Thursday night almost 24 hours after his inauguration.

The Minister who was sworn in alongside other 35 ministers by the Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday and was directed to hit the ground running immediately.

In his speech while speaking on assumption of office, Dambazau stated emphatically that: “My leadership will have zero tolerance for corruption, indolence, sectarianism, cronyism, and most of all, impunity.”

While challenging all the Service Chiefs to guide people’s trust jealously, the minister vowed that “leadership at all levels will be held accountable” for their actions.

He pledged to improve on all levels of welfare, logistics and general workplace safety of the staff of the ministry.

Earlier, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry Bassey Ekpeyong said the task ahead was enormous, calling for the cooperation of all Service Chiefs in achieving the objectives of the present administration
