Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has felicitated with President Muhammadu Buhari on his 80th birthday.
In a statement issued on Friday, Abubakar described Buhari as a man who is a model for inner strength.
“President Buhari, at 80, continues to be a motivation for inner strength,” he said.
“I pray that he continues to enjoy the grace of good health and vitality, as he continues to play his leadership roles in Nigeria and Africa.”
As the president turns 80 years old on Saturday, many prominent leaders in the country have started celebrating him.
Kayode Fayemi, the former governor of Ekiti, said he is a leader who has done his best to fix the multi-dimensional problems plaguing Nigeria.
On his part, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the governor of Lagos, described Buhari as one who is “never found to be corrupt”, adding that his “unblemished service” in public office has made him a role model to many Nigerians.
