Ayotunde Tuntun’ Adegbola, the first granddaughter of late Chief Bola Ige, the former Attorney-General and Minister of Justice and the great Cicero of Esa-Oke, was recently called to the Nigerian Bar. The ceremony took place at the Abuja International Conference Center.
The ELITES gathered that Ayotunde bagged a degree in Law from the University of Kent, United Kingdom, last year. The beautiful lady is the only daughter of Funso Adegbola, the eldest and only daughter of Chief Bola and Justice Atinuke Ige.
Her father, Gbenro Adegbola is an accomplished publisher, Media Practitioner and IT Entrepreneur. He is the former Managing Director of Evans Publishers, Ibadan, Oyo State. Presently, Adegbola is the MD/CEO of First Veritas, an educational organisation, whose focus is to provide education through innovation thereby empowering students towards a brighter future. He has experience in the educational publishing industry of well over two decades. He has served in several levels of leadership in Spectrum Books, BOOKCRAFT Ltd, Evans and currently First Veritas. First Veritas represents a vehicle to exploit his vast experience as a publisher, broadcast practitioner and IT entrepreneur for the benefit of the education sector.
On her own part, Ayotunde’s mother, Funso Adegbola is an accomplished educationist. She is the proprietress of The Vale College, one of the best colleges in Nigeria.
Aside the fact that her grandparents were icons within the law profession, Ayotunde’s uncle, Babatunde Ige, who died in 1993, was also a successful lawyer. His widow, Tokunbo (née Akinola) is also a lawyer.Oyinda, the wife of Bola Ige’s only surviving son, Muyiwa, an architect, is also a lawyer.
