Bola Ahmed Tinubu has been sworn in as the 16th President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Kashim Shettima was also sworn in as the Vice President of Nigeria.

Chief Justice of the Federation, Olukayode Ariwoola administered the oath of office to the President at 10:40 am, shortly after the Vice President the Vice President took his oath of office.

The swearing in ceremony took place at Eagles Square Abuja.

Tinubu was accompanied to the podium by his wife Oluremi, outgoing President Muhammadu Buhari and his wife Aisha and security detail.

Taking the oath of office, Tinubu promised to discharge his duties as President in line with the constitution of the country, and to the best of his ability.
