The body of the the kidnapped former Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Agriculture, Akure, Prof Albert Ilemobade, had been found in a store in his own residence in Akure.
There are suspicions Ilemobade was brutally murdered by his domestic aides.
The Nigeria Politics Online gathered from a family source this afternoon that Ilemobade, who was reported kidnapped six days ago in Akure by unknown gunmen.
However, there is a twist to the case this morning as the body of the late professor was said to have been found in one of the stores in his Ijapo Estate residence at the state capital Akure.
As at the time of the filing this report, a family member of the professor who is said to be a top shot at a company in Akure was wailing while attempts to speak with family members have not proved fruitful.
Sources disclosed that Ilemobade might have killed by his driver and the security guard.
The two were said to have been arrested somewhere in Ogun state by men of the Ogun police command.
As at the time of writing this report, Ogun Police PRO, Mr. Muyiwa Adejobi, was unreachable as the Nigeria Politics Online continue to track him for confirmation.
It was also gathered that this morning, the Vicar of Ilemobade’s church broke the sad news to the congregation. As the news filters in at the state capital, many are jolted by the developments as they compare the discovery with what was the account given six days ago when the kidnap saga was reported.
