Nigeria’s first indigenous chartered accountant, Pa Akintola Williams is dead.

He died on Monday, September 11, 2023. He was aged 104. 

Williams pioneered Nigeria’s accounting profession and was instrumental in developing the country’s financial sector.

He celebrated his 104th birthday on August 9, 2023.
