Buhari Condoles Lamido, Emefiele Over Mothers’ Death

imagePresident Buhari has commiserated with the Lamido of Adamawa, Alhaji Barkindo Mustapha and the governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele over their mothers’ death.
The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Mallam Garba Shehu, in a statement said Buhari made phone calls to the monarch and the CBN governor to express his sympathy to them.
The monarch’s mother, Hajiya Adda Gombeji died at the age of 87 years.
According to the statement, President Buhari described a mother as “an invaluable component of family life, and the pillar and comforter of the children.”
Buhari prayed to Allah to bless the souls of the deceased and grant the monarch and the CBN governor as well as their families the fortitude to overcome the losses.
Also, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has condoled with the Lamido of Adamawa over the death of his mother.
Atiku hailed the late Lamido’s mother for the enviable and spectacular role she played in the life of the Lamido and in the life of the people of Adamawa all through the period of her life.
He recalled the many sacrifices borne by the late Lamido’s mother which translated to better communal relations not only among the people of Adamawa but also among the people of the different ethnic groups that live and work in Adamawa.
The former vice president said that the Lamido’s mother was a lover of peace and worked hard for those around her to live in peace and happiness.
