The remains of Classic FM, On Air Personality, Sylvester ‘Sly’ Ojigbede were laid to rest today at Ikoyi Cemetery, Lagos.

The burial rites of the popular OAP began yesterday, Thursday, May 7, with a service of songs at the Kings College Annexe, Adeyemo Alakija, Victoria Island.

A funeral Service was held this morning at the Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Musa Yar’adua Crescent, off Kofo Abayomi, Victoria Island.

The last of his parents’ children, Sly died on Sunday, May 3, 2015, after battling complications arising from spinal cord infection. He is survived by a wife, Ivy and two daughters. His elder brother, Aide Ojigbede is the husband of Teni, first daughter of Lanre Ogunlesi, the Sophisticat boss.

Sylvester Ojigbeje, was born on January 6, 1978. He attended Command Secondary School, Iyana Ipaja and the University of Lagos, where he studied Economics.

He worked in the banking industry before he veered into radio.
