The National coordinator of Door2Door for Mark, Comrade James Oche, has debunked media reports making waves all over social media and the net that Senator David Mark refused to enter the witness box.
In a press statement issued on Tuesday August 18, 2015, Oche noted that Senator Mark appeared in court today but was never invited into the witness box to testify before the #Benue #State National Assembly #Election #Tribunal.
Door2Door is the name of the campaign organization that worked for the re-election of Senator David Mark in Benue South Zone C Senatorial district.
Oche said, “Let it be put on valid notice that Distinguished Senator Mark was never asked to be put in the duck and never refused to as being speculated by the underlings of one Daniel Onjeh.
“The former number three citizen attended today’s court session out of his high regards for the judiciary.
“We reiterate here that the vindication of our victory shall be confirmed by God and the upright judicial process. Our victory was conducted via peoples’ approval.
“And as a testament to the fact that our victory was conducted through the peoples’ approval, we have made efforts to prove that point before the Benue Election Tribunal.
“The Benue Election petition Tribunal admits documents showing that the election of Senator David Mark #PDP Benue South Senatorial zone followed due process.
“This followed the undisputed submission of documented evidence and citing of relevant legal authorities by Mark’s counsel Ken Ikonne to the tribunal today in Makurdi,” Oche concluded.
