Dele Momodu Visits Buhari, Advises Him On Way Forward For Nigeria

imageA former presidential aspirant, Chief Dele Momodu, yesterday paid a visit to President Muhammadu Buhari at the presidential villa in Abuja.

Momodu said he was invited by the Buhari after the president read one of his weekly column titled “A Desperate Memo To President Buhari“, an opportunity he used to discuss various issues with the president.

Speaking to State House correspondents, Momodu, who explained why he wrote the memo to President Muhammadu Buhari, said as a journalist and columnist, he does the work of an adviser who is not being paid for the president.

He said it was a welcome development that Buhari has been reaching out to members of the fourth estate of the realm, considering the wrong impression created about him that he doesn’t like the press.

He said he advised the President to give women a place in his government, saying they are compatible with the President’s anti-corruption stance because they have fewer needs than men.

“We discussed different issues affecting our country and I gave him my idea as a publisher, journalist, a columnist and the way forward for Nigeria,” he said.
