….Gov plans rally for Saturday to disrupt APC Presidential rally in Ado Ekiti
Gun boomed yesterday, at the State Secretariat of the All Progressives Congress, APC, as thugs, allegedly sent by Governor Ayodele Fayose, stormed the place, in four Hilux buses and a car, shot sporadically into the air. Party flags and posters of APC candidates were damaged.
In a statement released by Taiwo Olatunbosun, the Publicity Secretary, APC, Ekiti State, party flags and posters of APC candidates were damaged. Olatunbosun stated that, shortly before the hoodlums arrived, streetlights along Ajilosun Street where APC secretariat is located were switched off. The hoodlums descended on the security man at the gate of APC office, and he was severally beaten.
However, the Director of DSS and Commissioner of Police have been informed of the development.
According to Olatunbosun, Fayose is bent on in carrying out his plot to disrupt the APC presidential rally scheduled to hold in Ado-Ekiti on Saturday January 24, 2015. The governor is reported to have concluded plan to also hold a rally at Fajuyi Roundabout on Saturday to coincide with APC presidential rally.
Fajuyi roundabout is a major artery to Ekiti Parapo Square along NTA Road, where APC will be holding its presidential rally on Saturday.
