A commercial motorcyclist was on Wednesday reported dead when he slumped while on a queue at the NNPC petrol station in Kubwa, a satellite town of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
It was gathered that the deceased, a father of two, simply identified as Ishaya was on queue for petrol at the station in the early morning.
A witness, who suspected he must have died because of exhaustion, said it was almost getting to his turn before he slumped around 11:00a.m.
He said he was later carried away by some police officers who arrived the scene shortly following a distressed call placed by the management of the station.
It was however learnt he was taken to Kubwa General Hospital where he was confirmed dead.
When contacted, the Kubwa Divisional Police Officer (DPO), Chief Superintendent Nuruddeen Sabo who confirmed the death to be sudden and unnatural, said the corpse had been deposited at the hospital morgue.
