The former Governor of Taraba state, Rev Jolly Nyame escape the beating of his life at his home town, Zing yesterday for suggesting the people of the area to vote for All Progressives Congress [APC] whenever the re-run of the affected areas that made the governorship election in Taraba state takes place.

One of the Youths who was among those that had a meeting with the former Governor in Zing and also a Youth leader in Yakoko village, Adams James, told our correspondence that, Jolly’s Political career is dying, hence, he no longer have any influence to his immediate constituency.

Today they are calling him with all sort of vulgar names saying “Peoples Democratic Party [PDP] must rule Taraba whether he likes it or not;

“He defected to APC without the knowledge of any body because he wanted to use their votes for his personal political ambition.

“Unlike before when Jolly dictates to our people and all must obey, it’s now dawned on him that he no longer has any political relevance in his home town.

“He has all the opportunity to help our people but did not, even when as three times governor of the state, people are now politically fed up with him; if not that he ran away they would have lynched him without any fear of his personality.

“He wanted the people of Zing to vote for APC because they promised him a ministerial appointment,” Adams said

When our correspondent visited the town of zing, people, especially youths were seen in clusters discussing the level of backwardness Nyame brought to them when he was a governor.

They promised to see that his mission is frustrated, preferring to vote for PDP against his wish.

Another youth, Aliyu, was seen fuming and accusing Jolly as a bad and selfish person that only concern about himself, saying that he defected to APC because the party is gaining ground all over the country.

“We have vowed to fail APC and to ensure that PDP will form a government in Taraba state so he loses whatever he is looking for through our votes. He never get it,” Aliyu said.

Meanwhile, it was revealed that Jolly is always in the house of APC gubernatorial candidate, Hajiya Aisha Jummai Alhassan.

Even yesterday (Wednesday), he was in her house before she left for Abuja as the youth leader of Aisha, Abubakar Bala Maina confirmed to our correspondent that Jolly has being supporter of his principal.
