Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi is 50-years-old today, May 27, 2015.
Amaechi was born on May 27, 1965 in Ubima, in the Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers to the family of late Fidelis Amaechi and Mary Amaechi.

He is the 5th Governor of the state and was inaugurated in 2007 after which he won another term in office.

Amaechi will vacate his position on Friday, May 29, 2015, after Governor-elect, Nyesom Wike is sworn in.
