The Nigerian Guild of Editors (NGE) says it will hold the 2015 Annual All Nigerian Editors Conference (ANEC) on August 27.
A statement by Mustapha Isah, Chairman, Publicity Sub-committee, of ANEC 2015, said the conference would to take place in Yenagoa, Bayelsa.
Isah said the conference has its theme as “NIGERIA: The Change we Need and The Role of The Editor.”
He said the conference was scheduled to take place at the Banquet Hall of Government House, Yenagoa.
He said the ANEC 2015 would be chaired by a veteran broadcaster and Chief Executive Officer of Channels Television, Mr John Momoh.
He added that the Vice President of Nigeria, Prof Yemi Osinbajo would be the special guest of honour, while Gov. Seriake Dickson of Bayelsa would be the chief host.
According to him, the guest speaker is Prof Etannibi Alemika of the Department of Sociology, University of Jos.
The chairman, publicity sub-committee said that more than 300 editors of various media organisations across the country were expected to be in attendance.
