Imam Abdullahi Abubakar, the Islamic Cleric, who saved over 265 Christians from attacks by hiding them in his mosque in Yelwa Gindi Akwati village, Plateau State, has been awarded with the Member of the Order of the Federal Republic (MFR) honour by President Muhammadu Buhari.

Most Nigerians have applauded the award given to this pacific, humanistic and peace-loving man, as the best of all.

His action in saving those people despite being Christians, has earned him the utmost respect, admiration and adulation of many people around the world.
