Senate Leader, Victor Ndoma Egba, SAN, led a powerful delegation of eminent indigenes from Cross River state, to pay a non-partisan visit to the President-elect, President Elect Maj. Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (rtd).
While giving an account of the meeting on his Facebook page, Ndoma-Egba revealed that he met Buhari, 30 years ago, when he was a 27-year old Commissioner in the old Cross River State. He posted an old picture to corroborate his claim.
Also, Ndoma-Egba explained that some members of the delegation have had relationship with the president-elect since the civil war days. According to him, “We congratulated him and discussed about Cross River. We raised the issue of the vulnerability of the people of Cross River; the peculiar challenges that we face as a people; the debt profile; the loss of Bakassi; the loss of oil wells.
“We also discussed the poor state of our infrastructure and the loss of visibility in national politics.
“These were the issues discussed and he (Buhari) promised that he would look into our complaints.
