…How Her involvement In N5Billion Shady Contract Led To Her Sack
…Her Affairs With Tinubu, Olowolafe, Others
…Her Partner-In-Crime, Adebola Omoboya Also Sacked
Barely a month after her inglorious exit from the Lagos State Civil Service, where she reigned as a queen for many years, Nike Animashaun has landed a plumier job. She was recently appointed as the Company Secretary of the Nigerian Petroleum Development Company (NPDC), a subsidiary of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC).
Animashaun, the former Permanent Secretary of the Lagos State Ministry of Science and Technology, was sacked by Governor Akinwunmi Ambode, for what insiders revealed, bordered on gross financial misconduct.
The 50-year old flamboyant lady was reported to have got involved in some contract deals that ran into over N5billion. Somehow, because of her strong connection within the society, the heist was given the fancy name of misappropriation. Yet, when the powers that be felt it was time for Animashaun to vacate her post, she was shown the way out in the most up dignifying manner.
It will be recalled that Animsahaun had enjoyed a mecurial rise from the position of Junior Magistrate in the Lagos State Judiciary to become Permanent Secretary and power broker within the Lagos Civil Service Commission, where she was regarded as the Queen of Alausa. Since the crash of her marriage to Banky Animashaun, the famous Lagos Big Boy and businessman, Nike had been romantically linked with Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and a First Class Oba in Lagos. Of course, her celebrated affair with Dr. Tunji Olowolafe, the self-effacing billionaire and Chairman of Deux Projects, is well known within the society.
To Lafe, as Olowolafe is popularly called, Nike Animashaun is less than a wife and more of a mistress. Although, Lafe could not save his lover from being sacked, he was reported to have facilitated her present career pursuit at NPDC.
In a related development, Adebola Omoboya, the director of Computer Service in the Lagos State Ministry of Science and Technology, who was indicted in the computer scam in the ministry alongside Nike Animashaun has also been sacked.
The ELITES gathered that Omoboya was given his letter of termination in the first week of August. He was reported to have faced the Personal Management Board (PMB) of the ministry which investigated his involvement in the buying of computers which ran into billions of naira but were never delivered to the ministry.
Omoboya came from Globacom and was appointed as Special Adviser of Science and Technology before he was made director in the same ministry.
