Indian Designer, Anita Dongre’s Website Crashes After Kate Middleton Wore A Dress By Her

During the royal couple’s very royal trip to India, the Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton wore a stunning dress by Indian designer Anita Dongre. The printed tunic, as it turned out, created such a frenzy among women that they collectively led to the crash of the Anita Dongre website.

Kate Middleton wore the printed tunic to a high-profile cricket match – attended by Sachin Tendulkar and others – but little did she know that her style would create such a fashion uproar, and incentivize women to call and mail the designer to lay their hands on the same dress.

Kate was immensely applauded for her choice of wearing an Indian designer. The red and green Gulrukh dress that had Mughal motifs was among Dongre’s 2016 summer collection. The dress was inspired by the Pink City, Jaipur.

And after the Duchess wore the dress, Dongre’s team was flooded with orders from all around the world. Forget India, the orders came from literally every corner of the world – the USA, Canada, the UK, and Australia – which ultimately culminated in the crash.
As luck would have it, customers can now own the dress for a price of Rs. 14,000.
