President Goodluck Jonathan was one of the worshipers who attended February’s Holy Ghost Service of the Redeemed Christian Church of God at the Redemption Camp situated on the Lagos-Ibadan express way.

The President who had earlier in the day taken his electioneering campaign to Bayelsa, his home state said he was at the service to thank members for their prayers for Nigeria and not to campaign.

He later knelt down and was prayed for by the General Overseer, Pastor Enoch Adeboye. The Vice Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo was at the service too. He and the President shook hands.

Pastor Adeboye asked his congregation to use President Goodluck as a point of contact for Nigeria, he asked them to pray for peace in Nigeria before and after the election. He also asked the congregation to pray that the will of God be done. Finally, Pastor Adeboye invited all the politicians in attendance at the service, who are contesting at different levels and prayed for them (Pastor Yemi Osinbajo, Senator Oluremi Tinubu and others). He used the same prayer point he prayed for President Jonathan.
