+ Says: New Technology Will Engage Over 25,000 Youths and Guarantees Aged Entertainers Yielding Retirement
All over the world, technology has been a major change factor that has radically transformed our societies and our daily lives for the past two decades especially here in our country Nigeria where we’ve been able to create a technology and business model that’s working for us.
The new technological revolution has prompted some young minds in developing a technological template that will see entertainers profiting immensely without the need to grace a show or event before making money.
Before now, many artistes especially the traditional ones derive their major income from live shows which are normally done within the walls of a venue. But with this new technogical drive, live shows will be digitalized that entertainers will be making money right from their living rooms or designated studios.
This new technology will see entertainers investing more on online services that promise to provide a more readily means of earning online to entertainers.
The new technology will see professionals,, graduates, even amateurs and any one interested person(s) will be taken through a tailored capacity building training on professional digital video content production even via the use smartphones to earn living.
With the knowledge of what technology has been playing in the lives of people lately, the king of fuji music, Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, the Mayegun of Yorubaland who is a major stakeholder in the entertainment industry, has decided to put his weight behind this new development because of its potentials in taking care of not just the entertainers, but also the youths which will engage over twenty five thousand (25,000) within a short period of its commecement.
Enlightening the public on the new development , the artiste who is popularly known as K1 de Ultimate said the new technology is not in anway trying to eradicate live music shows but to compliment it especially like when restriction of movement or gathering are enforced during pandemic time like the covid period and when artistes get to old age and are too fragile to be moving from one venue to the other. He further averred that since live music business in this part of the world largely depend on spraying as a means of monetizing live shows and events which over the years have become a viable and sustainable stream of revenue for the industry, the new technology will still see artistes making such money without the stress of being on a stage or event.
The music meastro used the opportunity to laud the effort of the Lagos state government’s commitment to the creative industry under the leadership of Governor Babajide Sanwoolu, for a job welldone in promoting effective growth in the creative industry. K1 further stated that “The governor has really shown so much commitment to the sector with conviction of how much the sector can drive job creations and youth development” as he rounded up.
