Asked whether Kuku would be discharged immediately, Christina said: “doctors say it would take Between four to six weeks before Kuku recovers fully”.
The operation was conducted by a team of doctors headed by Dr. Jeffery Dugas, according to the hospital senior staff.
Economic and Financial Crimes Commission(EFCC) had invited Kuku to answer allegations on conspiracy, stealing, abuse of office and diversion of public funds.
The EFCC letter with ref: CR 3000/EFCC/ABJ/EG/T7/vol.25/263 and dated July 22, was signed by the Head of Economic Governance, Olufunke Adetayo Ogunbode and was sent and received by the Presidential Amnesty Office in Maitama same day.
In his response to the letter, Kuku said he was in the United States, undergoing a surgery operation on his knee, and that he would answer the invitation in September when he had fully recuperated.
Hospital sources disclosed that the recovery and rehabilitation process plays a crucial role in helping patients get back on their feet and resume an active lifestyle.
It can also help patients heal from surgery faster and greatly improve their chances for long-term success.
