Some of Lagos female entrepreneurs have come together to establish a business group called Likeminds Ladies Network. The group held its inaugural meeting on Sunday, July 20, 2020 at the Co-Work Place in Oniru, Lagos. It was anchored by Susan Eyo-Ikpe (nee Honesty). Being the first for the newly establish women’s group, the event saw a virtual presentation on Zoom on the topic, Personal Branding for Business, and it was delivered by Chizor Malize the CEO, Financial Institutins Training Centre, FITC.
Her delivery touched on the importance of personal branding for today’s business person who wants to make a lasting impact. She equally stress the need for business owners to embrace networking,and be able to clear communicate their identity,as well as to clear define what you want to be known for. She also stressed the need to grow an online presence, and importance of reinventing your personal brand as you grow.
Convener of the event, Princess Feyikemi Florence Egbeyemi, in her welcome address, highlighted the mission statement of Likeminds Ladies Network, which was established to build women leaders with sustainable ideology that would enhance personal lives and business skills, while promoting personal branding among these women through building self-worth acquired through training to achieve personal goals that would in turn benefit others. The event also saw the formal unveiling of the Likeminds Ladies Network logo, with the motto, Better Together.
The presentation by Mrs Chizor Malize is part of the mission of the group, geared toward the empowerment of women entrepreneurs in a world fast moving into an era driven by technology.
