Edo State Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Louis Odion, has resigned from the State Government.
His resignation takes effect from the end of October.
Confirming the news of his resignation to journalists in Benin, Odion hinged his decision on the need to give more attention to his family and to pursue his journalism profession.
“I have been away for four years and my children are still young. They need my attention. I have always seen myself as a professional and I have been on sabbatical from the news room.”
It was learnt that the state Governor, Adams Oshiomhole, has accepted his resignation.
Odion who was first appointed Commissioner in 2011, was reappointed after the re-election of Governor
Oshiomhole for a second term in office in 2012.
