Prominent businessman and media guru,
Bowale Oluwole Arisekola has been installed as the Mogaji Ajenigi-Eye of Yemetu-Oje, Ibadan by the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Saliu Akanmu Adetunji, Aje Ogungunniso 1.
Arisekola, the publisher of The Street Journa, was installed as Mogaji alongside other Mogajis. The installation ceremony was held at the palace of the Olubadan in Popo Yemoja, Ibadan, Oyo State, on Monday, November 22, 2021. Besides being fired up at the thought of getting a new position from which he can better serve his people, Arisekola was also distinctly excited over the fact that the title corresponds to his fixation on improving a lot of Ibadan indigenes, whether they be underprivileged or otherwise.
His conferment was described as a well-deserved one. Arisekola is known to be highly resourceful and a promoter of causes that advance Ibadanland.
Speaking with journalists at his Bodija residence shortly after his installation, Arisekola noted that his installation has further confirmed good works he has done and his commitment towards the development of Ibadanland and Oyo State at large.
He said, “This is just the beginning of greater things to come to my family and Ibadan land, my plan is to consult round to know what my people lack which I’ve already been doing through my foundation by supporting Ibadan indigenes, widows and less privileged in the society.”
He, however, thanked the Olubadan and Olubadan-in-Council for the honour by installing him as the Mogaji Ajenigi-Eye of Yemetu-Oje, Ibadan.
Notable among those who graced the event were: Honourable Sina Alabi, Alhaji Tunde Ologburo, Seun Fakorede (the Oyo State Commissioner of Youth and Sports), Prince Eniola Oyeyode Oyesosin, Mogaji Adekunle Kare, and several others.
