The deputy editor, Business, New Telegraph newspapers, Ayodele Aminu narrowly escaped death on Sunday evening when his car, a new model Toyota Corolla got involved in an accident along the Lagos-Epe Expressway.

An eye witness account told revealed that the accident occurred when a commercial vehicle driving on the other side of the road, veered off the road and smashed into the median before ramming into Aminu’s car.

Aminu was said to be returning from an event organised by the Finance Correspondents Association of Nigeria, FICAN.

Aminu, who sustained fractures in his legs, was thereafter rushed to the Lagoon Hospital in Apapa. Checks made by some concerned friends revealed that he is responding to treatment.
