Oba Saheed Elegushi Adds A Year Today

imageToday, Friday, April 10, Oba Saheed Ademola Elegushi (Kusenla III), the Onikate of Ikate and the youngest Oba in Lagos State, adds another year. Although, he chooses not to mark the event, a galaxy of notable personalities will visit him to pay homage to him and offer him prayers. The effervescent royal father and his stylish wife, Oloori Aramide will host their guests to a modest soiree.
Fondly called King Gusshi by his teeming admirers, Oba Elegushi was born to the family of late (Oba) Yekini Adeniyi Elegushi, Elegushi Royal Family of Ikateland, Lagos State. He had his early at the St. Mathias Primary School and Methodist Boys’ High School, Lagos. Later, he attended the Lagos State University, Ojo, from he obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree (BSc) in Economics. He obtained his Master’s Degree in Economics from the same institution. The then Prince Elegushi later proceeded to the University of Manchester, Manchester Business School, United Kingdom, from where obtained a Master Degree in Public Administration.image
Oba Elegushi worked in many sectors and was able to garner fertile experience in various capacities as a distinguished professional, politician and a philanthropist. He was the Personal Assistant to former governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and he served as the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola, SAN on Special Duties until his installation as the Oba Elegushi of Ikateland on April 27, 2010.
Oba Saheed is married to Olori Sekinat Aramide Elegushi ( née Ipaye) and they are blessed with three children.
