A former Nigerian President, Olusegun Obasanjo’s only sister, Mama Adunni Oluwole Ewenje (née Obasanjo) is dead. She was 76 years old.

According to Titi Odetola (nee Ewenje), the youngest of her children, who confirmed the news Mama Ewenje-Obasanjo passed on at about midnight on Monday, May 18th, 2015. She reportedly slumped and was rushed to Kukoyi Hospital close to Obasanjo’s Farm in Ota, Ogun State.

Mama Ewenje was however confirmed dead on arrival at the hospital. Her body has since been deposited at the mortuary of the Ikeja General Hospital.
