PHOTOS: The Queen Officially Celebrates Birthday

Yesterday, The Queen celebrated her Official Birthday with a magnificent display of pomp and pageantry by the Foot Guards of the Household Division, The King’s Troop Royal Horse Artillery and the Household Calvary Mounted Regiment, with music by a Massed Band of the Household Division.

The Queen’s Colour of F Company Scots Guards was trooped. Trooping the Colour has marked the official birthday of the British Sovereign for over 260 years.

The Queen celebrates two birthdays each year: her actual birthday on 21 April and her official birthday on (usually) the second Saturday in June.

The parade closed with a fly-past by the Red Arrows, and a 41 Gun Royal Salute by The King’s Troop Royal Horse Artillery.
