Expose: Edwin Clark, Jonathan’s kinsman’s planted moles in INEC, CSG
An inside source within the camp of President Jonathan’s kinsman and Ijaw leader, Chief Edwin Clarke has revealed that some people promoting the interest of President Jonathan’s government have been working as moles in the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), and civil society groups.
According to sources, Mr. Clarke has been receiving regular briefings and reports from INEC’s Director of Political Parties Monitoring and Liaison, Regina Omo-Agege as well as the Resident Electoral Commissioner in Edo State, Mike Igini about the workings of the commission and its chairman, Attahiru Jega.
On the other hand, Kayode, a lawyer and civil rights activists as well as Dotun has been leaking vital working information about civil society groups whose positions are against the interest of the Jonathan govt.
Incidentally, Kayode is a member of the Labour Party (LP), a party largely believed to be an appendage of the PDP and a personal solicitor to Mr. Clarke.
Asked what Clarke needs mole in these agencies for, the source said Ijaw leader has teamed up with President Goodluck Jonathan to ensure that General Muhammadu Buhari does not emerge the president of Nigeria as a personal vendetta against the APC presidential candidate who seized his properties during his regime as a military Head of State.
“Clarke does not just rant without inside information from the moles in the places he talks about, the source said.”
He said the Ijaw leader is playing the script of the president, citing his recent call for the arrest of Attahiru Jega as well as the postponement of the election as one of such hatchet plan.
The source also revealed that as part of the script, the court case instituted by Ayakeme Whisky, seeking for the disqualification of General Buhari from contesting the 2015 presidential election, was an initiative of Clarke. He said Whiskyis a foot soldier of Clarke who throngs his home located at 23 Halie Selasie street, opposite the ECOWAS secretariat on a daily basis.
Describing him as the biggest mobiliser for President Jonathan when it comes to reaching out to the minorities, the source said Clarke is a hypocrite, manipulator and a corrupt Ijaw leader.
He cited the more than eleven billion naira road contract that was given to him in Bayelsa during the tenure of former governor Timipre Sylva, a project he used some unqualified Lebanese company to do and which later ended as uncompleted project after he was mobilize with 2 billion naira, the source added.
