It was pomp and ceremony on Saturday, July 23, 2022 when veteran journalist, Mike Awoyinfa clocked 70 years.
Awoyinfa, the founding editor of Saturday Concord and founding editor-in-chief of The SUN newspaper, was born on 23 July, 1952 at Tarkwa in the Western Region of Ghana to Nigerian parents.
To mark his 70th birthday, friends and family threw a surprise birthday party for him at The Maribas, Twinwaters Tower in Lagos.
The event had the creme de la creme of the society, especially from the media in attendance.
