A House wife [names withheld] has allegedly poisoned her divorced husband, Alh Suleman Aliyu Gummi, to death in Zamfara state.

Late Suleman Aliyu Gummi, until his death, was the district head of Gambandar Danjafa in Gummi Emirate Council of Zamfara and a biological son to the late Emir of Gummi, Alh Aliyu Isah Gummi.

According to a family source that wouldn’t want to be named who spoke on telephone, the late traditional ruler divorced his embattled wife three days ago but she refused to leave her matrimonial home until when the yesterday’s scenario occurred.

He noted that, the accused wife allegedly puts a poison into the food she cooked and served it to the late traditional ruler who instantly gave up the ghost after eating the food.

The source further explained that, the suspect was instantly arrested by the police in spite of the protest by some royal members in the Emirate that the suspect be released to them for action.

The younger brother to the decease who is also the district head of Sabon Garin Gummi, Alh Muazu Aliyu Dan sarki posted in his facebook page this morning that the District Head’s wife suspectedly poisoned her husband in Gummi and was arrested by security operatives.

According to him, she was taken away in a commercial bank vehicle.

The post was a confirmation of the authenticity of the allegation against the wife of the deceased.

Effort to reach out to the State PPRO for comment was not successful as his telephone line could not be reached.
