Nigeria has been thrown into a frenzy as jubilants across the length and breadth of Northern Nigeria have blocked major streets and roads in wild jubilation following the declaration of General Muhammadu Buhari (retd) as the President-elect of Nigeria.

Several shops and kiosks are shut down, drunken okada riders riding profusely, artisans and business owners are seen gallivanting all over the place in wild celebration.

Shouts of “Sai Buhari” are heard across the breadth of Northern Nigeria.

A celebrant was heard shouting “Change has finally come”!

Nigerians now await May 29, 2015, the day Buhari will be sworn in as the new President of Nigeria.
