Divine Experience, Rebirth As Apostle Suleman Takes The Gospel To South Africa

IMG_6384Peter didn’t just walk on water, he walked on the Word of God as Jesus has commanded and that made him to walk on water. When he began to lose confidence in the Word of God, he lost his place on the water.”

That was the warning from the servant of God and president of the Omega Fire Ministries worldwide, Apostle Johnson Suleman, as he took the Gospel of Christ to South Africa for a three-day Apostolic conference. It was his second prophetic visit to the country within one month.

The arrival of Apostle Suleman, who earlier in the year had announced his mandate to make 37 international visits in 2017, was witnessed by a large number of persons who had trooped into the O.R. Thambo International Airport, Johannesburg, to welcome him. The man of God breezed into the country in the company of some of his pastors from Nigeria and they were welcomed by the national overseer of the OFM South Africa, Dr. Sule Emmanuel, with fellow pastors from the region.

With fire in his bones, powers in his veins and his heart, the celebrated ‘Lion of Africa’ whilst the conference progressed, did release grace, restoration and miracles to the Republic of South Africa. It was the season of help from all corners for South Africa and her citizens. The prophetic dimensions were simply matchless, certain and unfailing.

IMG_6381The servant of God had counseled the multitude of worshippers as he mounted the platform for the second session of the soul-inspiring conference, to exude absolute confidence on the Word of God, assuring that if they did, every other thing would bow to their wishes.

“What you need is not just education, capacity, influence, position, good job, and connections; all you need to have everything is, absolute confidence in the Word of God. And to get help from above, you must worship He that is above,” posits the man of God.

IMG_6382As the Spirit of the Lord moved, chains were being broken, and God’s people were being set free from all kinds of afflictions. It was also an opportunity to ordain pastors and ministers of God. It was testimony galore and as the praise and worship session advanced, the whole auditorium was charged with the spirit of praise while the anointed man of God commanded sudden termination to wickedness and released total restoration.

IMG_6383Following the South African experience, the ‘Help From Above’ train moves to Monrovia, Liberia between the 9th and 10th of May, 2017. The Amsterdam version comes up on the 22nd and ends on 23rd May, 2017. Between May 31st and June 1st, 2017, Manchester will host the ‘Oracle of God’ and his team for the ‘Help From Above’ programme while ‘Victory and Help from Above’ crusade in America ends the present leg between July 18th and 19th, 2017.

IMG_6385“Christ did not promise us that there would be no wars, He promised that no matter the war or our opposition, we will win all the time,” lectures Apostle Suleman who ended the sermon with prayers for grace in the new month and victory over battles surrounding the life of believers.

Adeboye To Bless Adelakun’s Ayewa Band As It Celebrates 40 Years On Stage

adeboyeeGOSPEL band Ayewa International Gospel singers is 40 years and come May 7, 2017, the group will celebrate God’s goodness in their lives at the 10 Degrees event centre in Lagos.

Leading the pack of dignitaries at the event is the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, who will be supported by some top gospel artistes such as Nathan Bassey, Ayan Jesu, Gospel Musicians Association of Nigeria (GOMAN) President, Evangelist Funmi Aragbaye, Bola Are, Yinka Ayefele and Ologo Ara.

Also, two music greats – Ebenezer Obey Fabiyi and King Sunny Ade – will be in attendance.

The group began in 1976 at Christ Apostolic Church, Kawo, Kaduna State when Brother Amusa, as Pastor Adelakun was then called, enrolled in the church choir in 1974. He was then the composer for the church choir. The foundation members of the group which started with Pastor Ayewa are Brother Mike Olorunponmi, now Pastor, sister Elizabeth Sola Oludare now Evangelist, Mrs. Olorunponmi, Brother Roland, the first Organist, Mrs. Ebajemito and Brother Abbey now Pastor Abbey.

The group later met to choose a name for the band so as to avoid calling the group Brother Amusa and co. They eventually settled for Ayewa Gospel singers before it transited to Ayewa International Gospel Singers.

“The mystery of the international then did not come to my mind to mean the mission to the world but I believe it was the Holy Spirit speaking through us then,” Pastor Adelakun said.

“We did not even know that we will produce any album not to talk of going to any country abroad.”

Ayewa International Gospel Singers achieved fame for their ninth album, Amona tete Mabo.

“My family, churches were that channels through which we sold our albums then,” said Pastor Adelakun Ayewa.

“But when the fullness of time came, the group was brought out to shine by the divine instruction to repeat just an album. People of God especially the gospel musicians should learn from this.”

Ambode Preaches Love, Sacrifice At Easter

Governor Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos State
Governor Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos State

As Christians in the country join their counterparts across the world to celebrate Easter, Lagos State Governor, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode has called on Nigerians to collectively imbibe the spirit of love, sacrifice and peaceful co-existence, saying that it is only when such virtues exist that the nation can make meaningful progress.

Ambode, in his Easter message signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Habib Aruna, said such fundamental values would go a long way in promoting and strengthening the foundation of love, peace and harmony in the country, adding that the season should serve as a reminder to all of the selflessness, love, sacrifice and tolerance of Jesus Christ throughout His earthly sojourn, his death and his resurrection.

Noting that this season calls to mind the selflessness, love and tolerance which were the hallmark of Jesus Christ during His earthly life, Governor Ambode said, “It is a season when we should pause and reflect on our individual and collective roles towards promoting and sustaining that foundation of love, peace and harmony in our society”.

“Therefore, we must see this period as a time that affords us to think about how we can each help to steer our nation back on the road to prosperity, by working in the spirit of togetherness.”

He said there was no better time for the country to unite together and eschew resentment along ethnic and religious lines, adding that no challenge is insurmountable where there is unity of purpose.

“No doubt, Nigeria will surely make faster progress towards the achievement of the peaceful, united, strong, progressive and prosperous country that we all desire if, as a nation, we eschew all divisive, parochial, ethnic and religious sentiments and rivalries, and begin to live more harmoniously with one another, as Jesus Christ enjoined us to.

Ambode commended Lagosians for their continued demonstration and promotion of mutual understanding and peaceful co-existence in spite of existing ethnic, cultural and religious diversities, attributing the successes recorded in the State’s 50 years existence to unity of purpose among residents.

“Today, we can tell the world the enthralling story of how our beloved City-State has become a shining example of what peaceful co-existence can help to achieve. Lagos is home for all, Lagos is a land of opportunities, Lagos gives life to dreams and Lagos does not discriminate. Every Nigerian has a root in Lagos and in another 50 years we hope we would have left a legacy for our children to build upon.

While wishing all Lagosians a happy Easter celebration, Governor Ambode enjoined them to continue to work with his administration “by obeying the law, fulfilling your obligations as citizens and stakeholders, and remaining vigilant, to ensure that our State remains a model of peaceful and harmonious co-existence in our dear country, Nigeria”.

Easter Message: Buhari Urges Nigerians To Live Together In Peace

Buhari

President Muhammadu Buhari has urged all Nigerians to live together in peace and harmony, in the spirit of Easter.

“I urge all Nigerians to live peacefully with one another and do their utmost to make Nigeria a beautiful place to reside”, President Buhari said in a special message signed by him to mark Easter..

Notably, peace was the theme of the special message as the president underscored its importance:

“It is in our collective interest to live in peace because without peace, no meaningful and sustainable development can take place.

”Lack of peace in one part affects in one way or the other, all parts of the country. Our people must rediscover the values of peaceful co-existence, social justice, religious tolerance, dignity of labour and patriotism.”

President Buhari, who will mark the second anniversary of his administration next month, also seized the occasion to assure Nigerians of his commitment to repair the economy and battle corruption, insecurity and terrorism.

“In the almost two years of this administration, we have worked hard to meet the expectations of Nigerians by improving security, especially in the North-East, sustaining the campaign against corruption and revitalise the economy”, he said.

“We are determined as never before to continue with the fight against terrorism and insurgency; sustain the peace in the Niger Delta through engagements with stakeholders; and restore peace and stability in other parts of the country.”

Here is the full statement by President Buhari:

I congratulate our Christian brothers and sisters on the celebration of this year’s Easter.

I rejoice with you on this historic occasion signifying the triumph of good over evil, light over darkness, redemption over condemnation, and hope over despair.

The commemoration of this special season in Christianity, is always preceded by fasting, piety, humility, penance and prayers of intercession in the build up to the death of Jesus Christ on Good Friday, an event which reunited man with his Creator.

The message of Easter is filled with themes of love, faith, sacrifice, dedication, commitment, fulfilment of prophecy, hope, expectation and victory, as espoused in the Scriptures and the teachings and lifestyle of Jesus Christ.

As we celebrate yet another Easter, I urge all Nigerians to live peacefully with one another and do their utmost to make Nigeria a beautiful place to reside.

In the almost two years of this administration, we have worked hard to meet the expectations of Nigerians by improving security, especially in the North-East, sustaining the campaign against corruption and have taken steps to revitalize the economy.

We are determined as never before to continue with the fight against terrorism and insurgency; sustain the peace in the Niger Delta through engagements with stakeholders; and restore peace and stability in other parts of the country.

It is in our collective interest to live in peace because without peace, no meaningful and sustainable development can take place. Lack of peace in one part affects in one way or the other, all parts of the country. Our people must rediscover the values of peaceful co-existence, social justice, religious tolerance, dignity of labour and patriotism.

I enjoin all Nigerians to keep faith in the determination and ability of this administration to change the Nigerian story for the good of all.

I wish all Nigerians happy Easter celebrations.

Easter Blessings As Apostle Suleman Stuns With Miracles And Gifts

IMG_5878“When enemies decide to strike a man they come with what cannot be hidden; poverty.”

This was said by Apostle Johnson Suleman, famous preacher and president of the Omega Fire Ministries worldwide, as he keeps the vision of making a difference in the lives of people across the world. “We were set out to make a difference in the world,” he would say, “and we will ensure that concerns about money do not drown people’s faith in God. For people who believe in divine intervention when faced with series of problems including disease and poverty, through Suleman, God promises total relief.

From one soul-saving conference to another, various locations and different nations, Apostle Suleman’s hands of love have always been stretched forth. In the last weeks, a number of miracle healings were manifested by God’s divine interventions.

IMG_5877Amongst these was an eleven year-old blindness that got healed; there was the middle-aged married woman who had battled fibroid for years and by His special grace, she got healed as the servant of God laid hand on her. Another woman was healed of cancer of the breasts, a three year-old paralysis got terminated, and the sick who was brought in ambulance to the ‘Jehovah The Doctor’ service, had her health restored. Through his ‘Touch Of Love’ charity scheme, Apostle Suleman blessed a lot of people with cash gifts. A trailer-load of rice worth N6 million was purchased from his pocket and distributed to the physically challenged persons and orphans. He is blessed by God and he does bless others as he has been mandated to do, wiping out tears, ending afflictions, restoring men to their destinies and lifting people from financial pits. He is always there, year in year out being tremendous blessing to people from various backgrounds, societies and affiliations.

IMG_5879Meanwhile, the servant of God will be live in Johannesburg, South Africa on Sunday, May 14th, 2017, for the ‘International Partners Dinner’ programme. This is a special evening with all intending partners of the ministry of Apostle Johnson Suleman across Southern Africa and beyond as the country’s edition of ‘Help From Above’ conference takes off.

Adeboye ‘Curses’ Those Destroying The Naira

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God Worldwide, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, has declared that those responsible for the loss in value of the Naira will not live to enjoy their illicit gains.

It will be recalled that the Naira has dramatically nose-dived in value in recent months, exchanging at over N500 to the US dollar before it began to appreciate lately due to the intervention of the Central Bank of Nigeria.

Speaking as he delivered the sermon at a special Sunday service organised by RCCG Region 11 aka Ikoyi/Victoria Island family at the Tafawa Balewa Square, Onikan, Lagos, Adeboye, fondly called ‘Daddy G.O’ added that it was a revelation he received from God which he was sharing for the first time.

“Those who are deliberately destroying the Naira will make the money but will not spend it.

“On my way here this morning, while I was on the long bridge, God told me to change your name to Blessed Family”, he said as he changed the appellation of the region.

Explaining the theme of the programme, which is “Enlarge,” Daddy G.O stated that it connotes the presence of the enlarger as well as the one to be enlarged.

“God is not interested in addition but in multiplication,” he said, adding that “God has pleasure in the prosperity of His people.”

In attendance were Adeboye’s wife, Pastor (Mrs). Folu Adeboye; the Regional Pastor, Charles Kpandei; Chief of Defence Staff, Maj Gen Abayomi Olonishakin, provincial pastors; Elders, among others.

God’s Own General: Apostle Suleman Takes Gospel, Charity To Cyprus And Turkey

Ap2“He that watereth shall surely be watered.”

This verse from the Scripture aptly describes the life of servant of God and founder of the Omega Fire Ministries worldwide, Apostle Johnson Suleman, as he keeps receiving honours wherever he is divinely directed on a mission. Indeed, it has always been from grace to grace for him.

The firebrand preacher just completed his ‘Help From Above 2017’ crusade in the Republic of Cyprus, the South of Turkey where thousands of destinies were restored through his special anointing, and lives were transformed.

Ap 1He is going to repeat even greater feats as he moves the prophetic train to Turkey on Monday, 5th of April, 2017, for another two-day crusade that ends on Tuesday, 6th of April, 2017.

This is a testimony to the fact that Apostle Suleman does not just preach words that carry life, he also changes lives positively by giving as he leads by example.

Ap5In Cyprus, the man of God from Auchi, Nigeria, shared the gospel of no-more-tears, termination of wickedness, and restoration. Cyprus experienced fresh grace, life transformation while souls were saved. As he ministered to the mammoth audience, he also showered on many material blessings to stabilize their financial state and make them hungry for God. During the encounter, an indigent student was stunned when Apostle Suleman blessed him with 1,000 Euros.

Ap3Prophecy is not entertainment, the ‘Oracle of God’ always affirms, adding that, when God is ready to help a people, He sends a prophet.
And, only a heart for God and love for mankind, he says, can do this.

Let Somebody Shout Halleluyah! Pastor E.A. Adeboye Is 75 Today

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God Worldwide, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, is 75 today.
In the forefront of missionary activity out of Africa, Enoch Adeboye has achieved, through various global Christian ministries and social organs, a great following for Christ Jesus. He sees the local church as one of the focal points of Christian discipleship, and thus plans to have an RCCG branch 5 minutes from every home in the world.

In furtherance of this goal, he oversees a network of over 40,000 parish-churches in 186 nations of the world. In the United States, there are over 600 several RCCG branches, the largest concentrations being in the states of Maryland, Texas, Illinois, California, and Washington D.C.

Formerly a mathematics professor at the University of Lagos, Nigeria, he started working with the founder of RCCG by translating his sermons from Yoruba to the English language. The leadership mantle fell on Pastor Enoch Adeboye in 1981, and since then, RCCG has experienced phenomenal growth and success, converting multitudes to Christ.

In recognition of his contribution as a global icon and preacher of God’s Word, he was selected in 2008 as one of the world’s 50 most influential people by Newsweek magazine, USA.

Born on March 2, 1942 into a humble family in the village of Ifewara, Osun State, located in the South-Western part of Nigeria. His poor family background seemed at first glance capable of confining him to a life of lack.

Brilliant, calm and reticent, his early teachers had little doubt that the lad had a scholarly aura and was cut for academia. The bruising truth was that Enoch’s tall ambition to pursue a career in academia was irreconcilable with the abject poverty of his family. Not to be deterred, his parents sold a few cherished possessions and borrowed from kind neighbors just to ensure that their son’s dream was not held back.

In 1956, he was admitted into one of Nigeria’s foremost Secondary Schools, Ilesha Grammar School, Osun State. As a youth he discovered a passion for books, and an aptitude for science, and in particular, mathematics. This led him to pursue higher education in the same field.

He obtained a Bachelors degree in Mathematicsfrom the University of Ife, Nigeria in 1967, a Masters degree in Hydrodynamics from the University of Lagos, Nigeria in 1969, and a Doctorate Degree in Applied Mathematics from the same university in 1975. He had planned to become the youngest University President in Africa.

It did seem that this ambition would be realized as his academic career flourished. However, little did he know that a greater career awaited him in the service of the LORD. In 1967, he got married to his beloved wife, Foluke Adenike Adeboye (nee Adeyokunnu).

In an experience that could be described as his wake up call, his daughter became ill in 1973, and proved unresponsive to several bouts of orthodox medicine. A cousin had invited him and his wife to a parish of RCCG to seek divine healing for their daughter. What the mathematics professor and his adorable wife could not have imagined, as they stepped out of their house that day was that they had begun to walk into God’s ultimate plan for their lives.

On July 29, 1973, Enoch Adeboye made a personal commitment to Christ through the ministry of Reverend Josiah Olufemi Akindayomi, the founder and first general overseer of The Redeemed Christian Church of God. Reverend Akindayomi was uneducated but was supernaturally endowed with the ability to read the Holy Bible in his native language.

Ordained a Pastor in RCCG in 1977, Pastor Adeboye received a solid foundation in the scriptures, and unbeknownst to him, being groomed for the future assignment under the tutelage of Reverend Akindayomi. He manifested an incredible passion for the work of the Lord by pioneering Bible study meetings, crusades, revivals, outreaches and the evangelistic programs known as the Congress. These were very successfully conducted in various cities all over South-West Nigeria.

In 1981, when the founder passed to glory, the baton of leadership was handed over to him by divine orchestration. His appointment as General Overseer immediately terminated his academic career, and as a result, he set his heart on taking RCCG to the next level of ministry, where all strata of society could be involved in the ministry without compromising the true worship of God.

This led to the establishment of the “Model Parishes” through which countless millions in the upper echelons of the society have come to know the Lord. The poor, needy and downtrodden have not been ignored, as Enoch Adeboye has a deep compassion for souls.

Soon after this came the Holy Ghost Services (HGS) in the mid-1980s. The HGS featured a night of praise, worship, prayer, soul-winning, deliverance, testimonies and the preaching of God’s Word once a month. Initially held on the premises of the ministry’s headquarters in Lagos, space constraints required a change in location. This led to the purchase of a massive piece of uninhabited forest land located in the suburbs of Ogun State, South West Nigeria. This piece of land is now known as The Redemption Camp. The HGS has been consistently held for over twenty years now and today, the crowd in attendance run in the millions every month.

Enoch Adeboye was launched into international prominence on December 18, 1998, when he hosted the very first Holy Ghost Congress (open air meeting) in Lekki, Lagos, Nigeria with an attendance of over 7 million people as reported by CNN and the BBC. It constitutes the largest mobilization of people in one spot on the surface of the earth, a feat never before recorded.

The following year, attendance at the Holy Ghost Congress (HGC) grew to 12 million worshippers. This program has since been replaced with the annual 3-Day HGC held every December at the Redemption Camp. Much like other programs in RCCG, the HGC has witnessed its transformations also. From a one night event in 1998 to a weeklong program today. At each and every one of these events, many souls are won for Christ, and the power of God moves freely to heal, anoint, and empower.

His trademark of humility is disarming and endearing, enabling him to easily share his testimony of the Gospel. His passion for soul-winning feeds his passion for church-planting, and through this, countless people have been inspired to follow him and serve the Lord in the ministry.

His appearance is straitlaced: he always wears a pinstriped suit, a gleaming white shirt and a bow tie. Enoch Adeboye and his ministry are known around the globe. He has preached in remote African villages and in the heart of major cities in United States and Europe. Since 1981, when he became the General Overseer of RCCG, he has been accorded the opportunity to conduct preaching missions in virtually every continents of the world.

He conducts his ministry through the RCCG, including:

  • The monthly Holy Ghost Service (HGS) [open air meeting] in Nigeria with an average attendance of over 1 million people.
  • The annual March 3-Day Special Holy Ghost Service (SHGS) [open air meeting] in Nigeria with an average attendance of over 6 million people.
  • The annual December weeklong Holy Ghost Congress (HGC) [open air meeting] in Nigeria with an average attendance of over 12 million people.
  • The quarterly Festival of Life [indoor revival meeting] in London, UK and various cities in the US with an average attendance of over 50,000 people in the (UK) and 10,000 in the (US) respectively.
  • The annual RCCG Conventions in Nigeria, UK, Asia and the US with an average attendance of over 7 million (Nigeria), 50,000 (UK) and 10,000 (US)
  • The annual RCCG Leadership and Discipleship Conferences and Retreats all over the world.
  • Television programs are broadcast on a digital-cable channel called Open Heavens TV, Liveway TV and Satellite radio.

Enoch Adeboye has written over 60 books. His daily devotional manual (Open Heavens), with over 1 million published annually, available in English, French and other major languages of the world is globally-distributed and widely-read.

His life substantiates the scriptures in Zechariah 4: 10 (NLT) which states: Do not despise these small beginnings… His life and over 30 years of full-time ministry around the world is remarkable in every sense. From humble beginnings as the son of a peasant farmer in Nigeria to one of the most influential people in the world.

Enoch Adeboye’s counsel has been sought by presidents, and his appeal in both the secular and religious arenas is evidenced by the wide range of groups that have honored him, including numerous honorary doctorates from many institutions in the Nigeria and abroad in appreciation of his contributions to humanity.

Recognitions include the following:

Though the above achievements are phenomenal, Enoch Adeboye never fails to give glory to God, claiming that there are greater things ahead that the Lord will yet do.

Enoch Adeboye has been married to Foluke Adenike Adeboye for over 45 years. Together they have three sons and one daughter, and many grand and great grandchildren children. They reside at the Redemption Camp in the suburbs of Lagos, Nigeria.

Daddy GO @ 75: Adeboye Is God’s Precious Gift To Nigeria‎ – Ambode

Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode on Wednesday described the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God Worldwide, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, as God’s precious gift to Nigeria.

Pastor Adeboye clocks 75 on Thursday, March 2, 2017.
Ambode in a congratulatory message described the soft-spoken cleric as a minister of God who had over the years exhibited an unrivalled passion for expanding the work of God and humanity at large.

Governor Ambode said that aside the fact that Pastor Adeboye had distinguished himself as one of the most revered clerics in Nigeria’s Christendom, he was a father figure to millions of people across the world due to his virtues of honesty, peace, patience, contentment, humility and diligence.

“Pastor Adeboye is no doubt a man of many parts. His simple life of transparency, openness, truth and grace make him one outstanding personality worthy of reference,” Ambode said in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Habib Aruna.

“He is indeed God’s precious gift to the nation. It is indeed the mercies of God that has kept him waxing stronger and aging with grace.
“For many of us who had the privilege of being taught and nurtured by Pastor Adeboye, we were always motivated by the way he delivered the Word in his unique and eloquent manner.

“Even at 75, he is still carrying on strong and spreading the gospel of Christ at every given opportunity”, he stated.

Ambode, while wishing him a happy 75th birthday, also prayed that the Almighty God will grant Pastor Adeboye long life and more strength to continue to be a role model to the body of Christ.

Lent Begins Today

This year’s lenten season commences on Wednesday, March 1, with Christians expected to attend church services, especially masses, to receive ashes on their foreheads, symbolizing the vanity of life.

The 40 days lenten season which begins Wednesday, will end with Easter on April 16.

Lent is a period of repentance, prayer and fasting, and features reflection on the forty days that Jesus spent in the desert to prepare himself before beginning his public ministry.

Pope Francis in his lenten message urged Christians to see the other person as a gift to mankind deserving acceptance and respect.
Especially, Pope Francis called for reflection on Christ’s parable of the rich man and Lazarus.

“Let us find inspiration in this meaningful story, for it provides a key to understanding what we need to do in order to attain true happiness and eternal life.”

“Let us pray for one another so that, by sharing in the victory of Christ, we may open our doors to the weak and poor.”

“Then we will be able to experience and share to the full the joy of Easter,” Pope Francis said.
