The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in Lagos State, Akinwunmi Ambode has won the governorship election for the state.

Although the APC candidate is yet to be officially announced winner of the election, results from the states which represents over 90% of votes collated indicates that Ambode has won majority of votes cast.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is expected to announce the final official results later today.
