Kano state governor and Senator-Elect for Kano Central Senatorial Zone, Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso has congratulated the President-elect, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, on his victory at the March 28th polls, describing it as an historic and significant milestone in Nigeria’s socio-political development.
The governor stated this when he visited Gen. Buhari on Friday in his residence in Abuja to rejoice with him on the victory, noting that the President-elect is a courageous and resilient politician.
“The mandate given to you to lead this country in these turbulent times is no doubt as a result of your exemplary honesty, high sense of discipline, incorruptibility, vast experience and ability to carry all Nigerians along irrespective of their tribal, religious or economic backgrounds” Kwankwaso said.
The Kano state governor, therefore, prayed the Almighty Allah to continue to grant the President-elect sound health, wisdom and courage to build a more peaceful, prosperous and harmonious Nigeria.
In his remarks, Gen. Buhari thanked the people of Kano state and indeed Nigerians for giving him the mandate to serve.
He noted that the people of Kano have been very consistent in supporting him assuring that his government will accord priority to the security of lives and property as well as economic development of the country.
