The murder of Chief Harry Marshal, a Nigerian politician and a power broker in the South South, on March 3, 2003, has been re-visited, as a South South Group has petitioned President Mohammadu Buhari, revealing the identities of his killers.

A copy of the petition from the South/South Renaissance Group sent to the president and Force Headquarters, Abuja, was also made available to Hope For Nigeria. The petition also identified the same killers as being responsible for the murder of Chief A.K. Dikibos.

Chief Dikibos, who replaced Harry Marshall as the South South deputy PDP leader, was killed on February 6, 2004, inside his car along Ogwashi-Uku/Kwale Road on his way from a Zonal party meeting in Asaba, Delta state. The alleged mastermind behind their murders, Dr Cairo Ojougboh, now occupies the position.

The petition was signed by the group’s national coordinator, Dr Offili Ijeomah. The Inspector General of Police and the DG, DSS were also copied in the petition.

In a related development, another group, New PDP Reformation Coalition and Support Group has decried the activities of Ojougboh, whom it alleged to be the brain behind the killing of Chief Harry Marshal, Chief Dikibos and attempted murder of several politicians from the region.
The former Speaker of Delta House of Assembly, Mr Martins Okonta has alleged that Ojougboh detailed thugs to kill him in the run up to the primaries of the recently concluded general election.
The two groups demand for the prosecution of Ojougboh over these killings and attempted murder of politicians, who have crossed his path, so as to avoid further loss of life.
