Corporation (NNPC), Mr. Yusuf Abdulkadir has been reportedly kidnapped in Kaduna

The NNPC staff was abducted at Rigachikun area of Igabi local government in Kaduna State.

A source said, Yusuf was kidnapped at about 10pm at his Rigachikun residence and whisked away to an unknown destination on Saturday.

A family source who did want his name mentioned, disclosed that the gunmen trailed him while he was returning to his house.

He said, “They trailed him to the house on Saturday night, dragged him out of his car at gun point and whisked him away.”

“The abducted person works at NNPC Towers , Abuja, but drive into Kaduna at the weekends to see his family members,” the source said.

The source said the matter has been reported to police.

A colleague of the kidnapped NNPC staff who spoke under condition of anonymity confirmed the abduction of Yusuf.

The Kaduna State Police Public Relations Officer, Zubairu Abubakar could not respond to enquiries over the abduction as at the time of filing this report.

It would be recalled the Inspector General of Police, Solomon Arase had dispatched the Assistant Inspection General, AIG Ballah M. Nasarawa to address and nip in the bud rising cases of kidnappings and other criminal activities in Kaduna State.
