The eleven Presidential candidates met yesterday in Abuja as part of efforts to prevent violence in the forthcoming elections. Highlight of the meeting was the signing of an accord to maintain peace before, during and after the election. The accord signing was presided over by Chief Emeka Anyaoku (former Secretary General of The Commonwealth) and Kofi Anan (former Secretary General of the United Nation.
