Honourable Mudashiru Obasa, the Speaker of the Lagos House of Assembly, recently took delivery of a new wife, thus, increasing his harem from two to three.

Obasa’s new wife is identified as Idayat Olusola, a staff of Lagos Revenue Service, (IRS).

The ELITES gathered that Obasa and Idayat had been discreet, in the conduct of their affair, until recently when the Speaker decided to make it official.

Obasa started out in life by selling wristwatches by the roadside of the rowdy slum of Oshodi in Lagos. However, fortune smiled on him, when politics launched him from the shackles of poverty to limelight.

Needless to say, the Lagos number one lawmaker has been reveling in his latest “accomplishment”. During the last Sallah celebration, Obasa was reported to have launched Idayat, by introducing her to his family members, friends and party associates, who thronged his house to felicitate with him.

Sources disclosed that, prior to the Sallah celebration, Obasa had informed his senior wives-Fausat and Bukola, of his intention to marry Idayat, and he was said to have urged them to accept her, without any reservation. It was gathered that Fausat wasn’t too fazed by her husband’s decision, since she witnessed a similar case some months back, when the Speaker brought home Bukola, the second wife, in similar manner.

However, Obasa’s second wife, Bukola, who is yet to stamp her feet in him life, seems not to be taking Idayat’s invasion in good stride. This is because she had always thought she would be Obasa’s last bus stop.

Sources disclosed that Idayat was treated to a warm reception by Obasa and members of his family. The first wife was even cajoled into vacating her room for the new wife. Invariably, Fausat had to move some of her belongings to the store, while her room was given a facelift, to meet the standard of the new entrant.
