The Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library, Abeokuta, is set to host a colloquium on Thursday 13 August titled Image Makers Perspective in the Re-invention of the Nigerian Nation.
The colloquium is being organized by the Ogun State Chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, NIPR.
Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun as the Special Guest of Honour, will deliver a keynote address, while the Chief Executive of CMC Connect Burson Marsteller, Mr. Yomi Badejo–Okusanya is designated as the keynote speaker.
Renowned Mass Communications don, Prof. Lai Osho, Dean, School of Communications, Lagos State University, will chair the occasion.
Other notable discussants include Chief Bode Mustapha and Chief Adetokunbo Fassy Yusuf, both seasoned public relations practitioners.
In a release signed by the Chairman of the Chapter, Mr. Tope Adaramola, the choice of the theme of the colloquium is hinged on the present concerted moves to revive the Nigerian nation and propel her to play catalytic roles in global development.
He said that the Nigerian nation had suffered serious image slur as a result of the decay in the system, and that this had denied the country of her pivotal place in the comity of progressive nations.
The colloquium will rekindle national consciousness through the robust platform that will attract dignitaries from different sectors of the society.
