Tragedy struck on Thursday in the Cappa busstop, Matori area of Lagos State after a train heading to Iddo Terminus crushed a woman to death.

According to Majeed Ale-Banks, who witnessed the incident, “It happened so fast, the ground was shaking but the train didn’t blow horn until it was right behind the woman.

Nearly all the intersections where the rail lines run across road networks are unmanned and also devoid of the alarm systems that warn citizens and other road users of the approach of the trains.
