I had a discussion with some of my friends, at the weekend, on the leadership Brig. Gen. Mohammed Buba Marwa, has so far provided at the NDLEA and we couldn’t but ask if past heads at the agency ever did anything?
The rate at which drug criminals, at different levels, are being caught almost on a daily, including exposing their many tricks, is enough to interrogate the previous leaderships at the NDLEA.
I hold the view and it hasn’t changed yet that there’s nothing really esoteric about leadership, however great we think it is. We only think otherwise if and when the unintelligent find their way into leadership.
This man, Marwa, has not only exposed the endemic nature of drug peddling and abuse in our society, he has also unearthed some of the secrets of this destructive business in many ways than many of us could have imagined.
I commend Brig.Gen Marwa and his team for an amazing job. Their latest discovery is an award-winning feat and we must recognise that it couldn’t have been a walkover for him and his guys.
Busting a warehouse with cocaine worth N194 billion is no mean feat and arguably a huge break at the NDLEA. Indeed, it’s commendable and a collective victory for the country.
We definitely can’t take his patriotism, dedication and hard work for granted, because he is treading a very dangerous path, where life is worth nothing. Yet, he has kept the flag flying, in spite of the threat to his life, family and team.
Thank you, sir. Some of us truly appreciate you 🙏🏾
