Meet Atlanta Bridget Johnson, The Lead Actress In Afamefuna

Atlanta Bridget Johnson is the actress who played Amaka in the Nigerian movie “Áfàméfùnà: An Nwa Boi Story”, distributed by Netflix. 

Atlanta Bridget Johnson was born on August 21, 1996 in Harare, Zimbabwe. She’ll be 28 years old this year. She grew up in Ibadan, Oyo State and later relocated to South Africa where she got into acting. Her father is a Zimbabwean while her mother a Nigerian. 

While growing up, Atlanta Bridget Johnson developed a deep love and passion for acting, setting the stage for her remarkable journey in the world of entertainment.

In 2022, she rose to fame after playing the character of Joy in the Nigerian movie titled “Man of God”, written by Shola Dada and directed by Bolanle Austen-Peters.

In 2024, she portrayed Beatrice in the movie “Funmilayo Ransome-Kuti”, directed by Bolanle Austen-Peters and starring Kehinde Bankole, Joke Silva, Omowunmi Dada, Adunni Ade, amongst others. 

In addition to her notable role in “Man of God,” “Áfàméfùnà” and “Funmilayo Ransome-Kuti”, Atlanta Bridget Johnson also graced the screen in Mayorkun’s music video “Certified Loner” in 2022, directed by cinematographer, TG Omori.
